All these reinvestments made it difficult financially for me as an individual, but they were critical towards the growth of the business. I continued reinvesting most of my profits back into the business into training, staffing, and education. Within a couple months, we won Best of Dawson in 2 categories. The 15 hour workdays were hard, but the results were amazing. Within 2 weeks, we were in the black. I grew so fast when I opened! It was like floodgates, which is a good problem to have. It was my goal to help other people in the same way that FBBC helped me… offering a place to work out for all fitness levels, where no one is judged, everyone is supported, & victories are celebrated. I purchased the franchise, worked on my certification, became a trainer, & opened up a fitness facility. I took the equity out of my house & dove right in. That’s when I realized it was time for a career shift. I lost 42lbs, went from a size 12/14 to a size 2, & my passion for fitness was re-ignited. When I joined FBBC, I immediately became hooked. It took my friend 6 months to convince me to try it out. Like so many people, the struggle with juggling life, jobs, kids, & activities put my own health on the back burner.
